That was a very nice speech. Now I know someone in the Trump Administration is reading this blog, which gives me hope. Too bad, like the campaign speeches, you can’t believe a word. The speech should placate people in the region long enough for Trump to complete the plan that really got him the Presidency, which is to “make the desert glow.” Don’t be suckered in.
A note to whomever stole my writing, let people know the source. I didn’t used to mind being quoted anonymously, but now my life is short and I need some credit for credibility.
To the World: Remember, Pres. Trump cheated to win. Only 5% of Americans voted for him.
To the people of the area: You can’t keep hoping the US will help you. Even President Obama was fooled. Americans will believe the Trump speech, because Americans are good-hearted people, but they, too, are tricked by kind words.
Rebuild in regions that vow (promise) to keep religion apart from politics. Remember when you build again, we are all God’s children. God does not judge, and neither should we.
It is not likely that I will ever be free.
This is a poem called Anyway I wrote as a child; Mother Teresa asked me to put it on a wall in Calcutta.
People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered,
LOVE THEM ANYWAY
If you do good, people will accuse you of
selfish, ulterior motives,
DO GOOD ANYWAY
If you are successful,
you win false friends and true enemies,
The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow,
DO GOOD ANYWAY
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable,
BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY
What you spent years building may be
GIVE THE WORLD YOUR BEST
