President Obama speaks with a panel of young people about getting involved politically and socially.
I have one tip for actors, singers, and anyone, who wants to be in the public eye is, watch the National Newsmen and women. The Anchors on the National news have to have no accent.
Stephen Colbert is a good example. He’s from South Carolina but he has no accent. He got rid of it by watching the News. Speech therapy can help a lot with heavy accents.
I grew up in NJ and had a bit of an accent and besides the News I watched the movie My Fair Lady. Try to talk like Rex Harrison.
We need young people to take the reigns and steer this country and the world toward brotherhood, acceptance, and peace. You have to be credible, and speaking well and clearly is half the battle.
Keep up the good fight. Make the world a better place.
As for high schools, a nice elective addition to the curriculum might be speech, including pronunciation.
All the young people were great!
President Obama, We miss you. Don’t forget about me.
